Makeup Concealers and Why You Need Two In Your Makeup Routine

I was doing my makeup the other day and accidentally used my brightening concealer on a blemish and then I wondered if everyone has multiple concealers for multiple purposes. I am Meg Ann Lee, a makeup artist in the Eau Claire area, and I’m  breaking down what a concealer is for, why you need two different concealers in your makeup bag and which brands are my favorite!

What is a concealer?

It’s a pigment concentrated cream that is used in areas where you want full coverage.

How to apply?

Less is more. I think the biggest mistake people make is applying TOO MUCH all at once. Canceler is buildable so start with a dot and add from there.

Which one to use where?

Your first concealer should be a high pigment cream that is perfect for covering up for any blemishes, redness or pigmentation. This one should be the same shade as your foundation.

Your second one should be a lighter color than your foundation. This brightening concealer is used for under the eyes and can be applied to T- zone area.
