Hey, I am Meg Ann Lee, a hairstylist and makeup artist at Moss salon in Eau Claire. If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me to show them how to do their makeup or get ready with them , I could’ve opened a second salon by now. I’ve had people ask me to come help them get ready for years. “Can you just show me how to do my makeup?” “I don’t know how to make my face look less tired.” “Why does my contour always look muddy?” These are the conversations that happen constantly, and they’re always the same . People have the products, they just don’t have the actual METHOD. The tricks. The permission to not be perfect about it.

What We’re Teaching

So Travis Gorell, who is a hair stylist, makeup artist and salon owner here in Eau Claire, and I decided to team up!  On May 8th, we’re doing Contour & Cabernet. A breakdown of makeup basics, specifically contouring, but also the everyday tricks that actually translate to real life. It’s not  just ring lights and filter tricks. We’re demoing up front, then we’re going one-on-one with you. Like actually working with your face and your makeup questions. And here’s the best part we want you to bring your own makeup bag. BYOMB. We want to teach you how to use what you already own. Not sell you new stuff. Not convince you that you need a fifteen-step routine.

We’re also sharing our top five must-have beauty items as professional makeup artists . The products Travis and I reach for the most. Not because they’re expensive or trendy, but because they’ve earned their spot in our pro kits and they actually work.

The Details

Limited seating. Twenty people. First drink included with your ticket. It’s the kind of vibe where you can ask the questions you’ve been too embarrassed to ask, because there’s literally no such thing as a stupid question about this stuff! If you’ve ever wanted someone to sit down and show you how to do this, I’ll see you there!  <3
