It feels like yesterday we agonized over what catastrophe awaited us on Y2K. How did 20 years go by so quickly and I'm still working on the same darn resolutions?
This year, I'm thinking small with the hopes of big changes. Since dropping 20 pounds seems almost impossible, what if it's 5 pounds? 5 pounds is a breeze right? You could almost do that in an afternoon after hot yoga. Okay, more realistically, in a week or two.
Mantra: Hustle & Grind the small achievable goals until success!
Actually, this concept could have far reaching implications. Let's apply this philosophy to something fun, like a tropical mid-winter getaway. Instead of scrounging up $4,000 in a few months. Let's start now by saving $350 a month. This time next year, I imagine we'll gush about how amazing we look in that new swimsuit....just in time for that winter escape to Mexico!
If you actually just pictured that scene, BAM! You're practicing creative visualization.

The tour brings Bareilles on the road in support of her fifth full-length album Amidst The Chaos – with Variety stating it “establishes that there’s no one in contemporary pop better at flexing mezzo-soprano sensitivity and social empathy like a muscle. It’s the perfect album for anyone who could use a little fierce snowflake pride.” This marks her first album of original material since 2013.
Don’t miss her show at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Wednesday, October 16th!
The company dares us to leap into the circus ring and experience the timelessness of this evolving art form. The show’s unique mechanical interpretation of the traditional, and its story full of the lore of the historic one-ring circus, creates a welcoming place, like a big top, where we can be amazed. The action in 42FT is full of theatricality and a modern sensibility, showcasing a galloping mechanical metal horse and a rotating tent frame for strongmen, acrobats, and aerialists. Cirque Mechanics, inspired by modern circus, finds its roots in the mechanical and its heart in the stories of American industrial ingenuity. The show, embedded in realism, displays a raw quality rarely found in modern circus. Cirque Mechanics’ signature style is wrapped in acrobatics, mechanical marvels, and a bit of clowning around. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, to the Cirque Mechanics world of gears and canvas, pulleys and sawdust- within 42FT.
Tickets starting at $25 plus fees and taxes. Grab your tickets now and join I-94 for Cirque Mechanics at the Pablo Center at the Confluence!
