Here's some good news if you've struggled with rent during the Covid-19 pandemic. Applications open today for Wisconsin Rental Assistance Program (WRAP), allowing eligible residents up to $3,000 to catch up on rent or make security deposits.
To qualify, you have to be an adult Wisconsin resident and your household income needs to be at or below 80% of the county median income in the month of or prior to the application date. Funds are paid directly to landlords and the program is being administered through the state's regional Community Action Program (CAP) agencies. Expect long hold times when calling and even wait lists to speak with CAP representatives.
