Not to sound too much like my grandparents, but if you've ever thought that some of today's hit music sounds EXACTLY THE SAME (unlike when WE were kids, of course...), this video might lend a little support to your theory...

From the makers of the Metallica 'Enter Sandman' smooth jazz version, here's an early 80's video of Ozzy doing 'Crazy Train'-- but it's not quite how I remember it sounding...

Yesterday's I-94 Terribly Tough Trivia question revealed that a rose is the most common tattoo among women. It reminded me of an old Taco Bell commercial with Willie Nelson singing the line, "He got off the bus at the board and up drove the woman with the rose tattoo..."

Neither Sue, nor Ann (yesterday's TTT contestant) had any idea what on earth I was talking about. Turns out, though, there WAS a Willie Nelson Taco Bell commercial, from waaaay back 1991. And sure enough, I had remember the opening line correctly. I can't remember to stop and pick up milk on the way home from work, but I remember the opening line of a nearly 20-year old Taco Bell commercial...

So it looks like Van Halen IS going to put out a new CD next year, complete with David Lee Roth on vocals. They're also gonna tour. So, with that in mind, check out this classic EVH guitar solo, called 'Eruption'...

I'm not sure exactly what it was that caused me to stumble across this video, but enjoy this trip back to 1985, and a then-cutting edge 'protest' song about the Viet Nam war by the now-obscure British keyboard player, Paul Hardcastle...
