"Last weekend I was in the checkout line at a local grocery store and an older man was pulling money from his wallet to pay for his groceries when a $10 bill fluttered to the ground and almost disappeared under the counter. Before I could let him know, a child in line reached down, picked it up and looked at it for a second like he'd just won the lottery.
I watched to see what would happen and then he tugged on the man's coat sleeve and handed him the bill and told him he'd dropped it. The man thanked him for his honesty and patted his back. The boy then turned and seemed to be looking for anyone who might have seen his good deed. Our eyes met and I nodded and he smiled as he turned away. I hope that feeling lasts forever for him." -Tom, Menomonie
