Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire (GHC) started over 30 years ago as a local thought and has grown into a nationally recognized HMO. The organization is a community-based non-profit health plan serving more than 75,000 members in Western Wisconsin.
As a cooperative, every member has a voice in the organization. A Board of Directors elected by members has the responsibility for overseeing the activities of GHC.

 
To optimize the health care of our members through the Cooperative’s pooling of health-related resources.

The purpose statement guides everything we do and drives our continued focus on providing high-quality, personal service to our members.

In six of the last seven years, GHC has been the ranked number one health plan in the region for overall member satisfaction. This information is based on the Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Satisfaction (CAHPS) surveys by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
