Two more Chippewa Valley summer staples have been interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organizers announced cancellation of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair on Monday, a first in the fair's nearly 123-year history, due to ongoing concerns about coronavirus and the implications of the large crowds anticipated to attend the Chippewa Falls tradition.
On a positive note, dates and some performers are already in place for July 7-11, 2021, and can be viewed through this link to 715Newsroom.com or copy/paste this in your browser for more: https://715newsroom.com/2020/06/01/a-first-for-the-fair
This announcement was followed by the rescheduling of Country Jam to July 15-17, 2021.
According to WEAU 13 News, if you already had tickets for this summer's event, you will be contacted by email. You are able to request a refund within 30 days if you cannot attend next summer. However, if you decide to hang onto your current tickets, you don't need to take any action and they will be honored next year.
